UALL Administration Network aims/mission/purpose


Aim
  • To act as a forum within UALL for those within the sector with a management and/or administrative role in the delivery of part-time/lifelong learning provision.
  • To provide mutual help, support and guidance for those staff working in Continuing Education/Lifelong Learning.

We are
A democratically run Network for discussing ideas and issues and dissemination of information and best practice amongst CE practitioners, primarily administrators but not excluding other CE staff.
We will
  • Organise an annual conference for the Administration Network, to which staff at any UALL or UALL Scotland member institution may attend.
  • Organise regional events in response to demand or identified issues within UALL or from members.
  • Provide information to and raise issues with UALL and other ULL Networks.
  • Respond to specific request for information or action from UALL.

The Administration Network:
  • provides a network of shared experience for mutual help, support and advice for its members
  • facilitates the dissemination of best practice by the provision of information networks through email lists, website and personal contact
  • provides expertise on specifically administrative / management issues to inform UALL in its role in representing the sector to policy makers and policy making bodies
  • represents the interests and concerns of its members within UALL
  • promotes professionalism and high standards
  • works to enhance the profile of its members within the HE sector
  • organises an annual conference and regional events responding to current issues
  • encourages collaboration between institutions in research and development projects
