Son of Aimhigher

Rumours of a 'son of Aimhigher' have circulated for a long time, and proved reliable last Autumn with the  HEFCE announcement of the new National Networks of Collaborative Outreach. These Networks are now announced, and although limited in both scale and duration (2014-2016), aim to consolidate and equalise progression opportunities across regions. It claims better linking of schools, colleges and universities in an echo of the much more ambitious original Aimhigher, which has survived in some areas - including the West Midlands, London and  Northamptonshire.
