BIS - Part time and mature students
The Government department BIS is increasingly concerned about part-time and mature student numbers which have dropped by 30-50%. Both BIS and UUK have set up survey and advice groups, with UALL and other invited organisations providing evidence. Data on part-time student participation is always less certain than full-time, so evidence is essential. If you are a provider of mature and part-time programmes, and can contribute to these surveys (including postgraduate study) your experience will be invaluable, so please send any information to the UALL Administrator, Lucy Bate
