MOOC debate gathers momentum
As the MOOC debate gathers momentum, The Government Department for Business Innovation and Skills has published a literature review with the surprisingly catchy title of 'The Maturing of the MOOC' (BIS Research Paper 130, September 2013). This extensive document highlights the range and divisions of the MOOC debate. Among these, and of particular UALL interest, are the 'disruptions' MOOCs might cause, including 'the potential for MOOCs to disrupt the lifelong learning and adult learning sectors' (p101).
