New UALL Community Research and Engagement Network

The main aims of the newly formed Community Research and Engagement Network are:

  • Deliver a network which gives focus on community, participant based research

  • Develop a repository which captures and holds the breadth of such work

  • Acknowledge the innovative models of engagement which start with the diverse needs of participants – not educational providers or funders.

There are some universities who have expressed an interest in this work and soon we will be offering opportunities for UALL members to also register their interest in joining this network. Then we will set about our plans to develop a seminar series as well as a conference for 2017 exploring community innovations in learning, engagement and community based research. So, keep your eye on this space.

Mark Richardson (South Wales) is chairing this Network.
