UALL Awards 2016 - applications invited
The UALL Awards recognise and celebrate projects, programmes and practices that promote lifelong learning in the Higher Education Sector. The Scheme is open to all departments and offices in any institution that holds UALL membership, and the winner will be announced at the UALL 2016 Annual Conference at Oxford – 16 to 18 March 2016.
There is a two stage application process: the first stage invites an initial statement of 300-450 words which outlines your project, programme or practice, and identifies its main strengths and any unique features. Collaborative projects are welcomed. Short listed applicants will then be asked to submit a full application (750 words maximum). In 2015 we received two applications for the Award from research programmes, one of which was a runner-up. For 2016, therefore, we are introducing a new category – research projects.
Submissions will be assessed on the basis of four criteria:
- Innovation and creativity
- Sustainability
- Impact
- Transferability
All short listed applicants will be invited to present a poster session at the 2016 Annual Conference and the winner will receive a free place at the 2017 Annual Conference.
Dates you need to know:
30 October 2015 – Final date for submission of outline application
29 January 2016 - Second stage application submission date for shortlisted applicants
March 2016 - Announcement of winner at UALL Annual Conference
