Diversity, identity and inclusion in Lifelong Learning:
Shaping a 2020 vision for mature student
I regret to have to inform you that, in view of the unprecedented challenges globally imposed by the covid-19 virus and in consideration of the national and international advice relating to public health, the UALL Officers have reluctantly taken the decision to POSTPONE this year’s conference.
The decision was taken in consultation with the advice of host institution, the University of Liverpool, and being mindful of the impact on international delegates and speakers. We are aware that this will cause disruption to your diary and plans and that it will be a great disappointment to you as it is to us, but we are convinced that at the present time this is the most prudent course of action to follow.
When will the conference take place?
The rescheduled conference will now run from Wednesday 29th July to Friday 31st July 2020. We are happy that we were able to maintain our Wednesday - Friday format and keep the venues - the foresight centre and Victoria Gallery Museum for the formal dinner. We are keen to hear back from you as soon as possible to confirm whether you are able to present and/or attend during these dates.
What if I have already booked?
I can confirm that if you have already booked that it will still stand.
UALL's Annual General Meeting:
In relation to the re-scheduled Annual General Meeting, this will now take place on the 14th May at Birkbeck University of London and we will be in touch with Council members about arrangements and circulate the papers in the next weeks.
Thank you again for your continued interest in the work of UALL and I look forward to seeing you later in the year.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this decision will cause and thank you for your understanding.
Peter Neil, Chair of UALL
The Rev'd Canon Professor Peter Neil, Vice Chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste University
