UALL was devastated to learn that the victims of the terror attack in London last Friday were graduates of the University of Cambridge, a member institution and supporter of UALL, and were young leaders in the 'Learning Together' programme that is dedicated to prison rehabilitation through learning.
During our 2018 conference that was hosted at Cambridge we were lucky to have a presentation by the team on this innovative and humane project and our delegates were struck
by their vision of education as 'the practice of freedom.'
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of Jack Merritt and Saskia Jones and to our colleagues at both the University of Cambridge and Learning Together during this difficult time.
