UALL responds to the Fourth Industrial Revolution enquiry
Our Honorary Secretary responded to the enquiry's call for case studies, shedding light on the advantages and disadvantages of this new technology and what it means for lifelong learning.
The enquiry is based around the emergence of new technology including robotics, artificial intelligence and the internet and the changes it will bring to productivity and the labour market.
It examined how best to prepare our youth and ensure they take advantage of future opportunities by looking at the suitability of the school curriculum. It also studied the role of lifelong learning and how best to help people climb the ladder of opportunity in the future.
