UALL 2016 Annual Seminar
Ambassadors Hotel, Upper Woburn Place, London
Thursday, 24 November 2016
The UALL Annual Seminar focuses on current issues and initiatives in the higher education lifelong learning arena. This year’s Seminar will address two highly important developments:
‘Social mobility’ has become an increasingly important issue in the lifelong learning world, in recognition of which the Prime Minister set up a Social Mobility Advisory Group organised by UUK. The final report of this group will be published in mid-October and Fiona Waye of UUK will provide a history and description of the group and its workings, and present the findings.
How the lifelong learning sector conducts relationships with the European Union in a post-Brexit world is of great significance, and John Field will be presenting his assessment based on his long experience including his recent visiting professorship at the University of Cologne.
