Why do we need lifelong learning? Well ...

Lifelong Learning promotes creativity; it opens our minds to new ways of seeing;  it promotes engagement with others;  it is enriching;  and of course it can enhance our economic status.

All stages of the educational process are important - from the Early Years through to Mature Years.   Nancy Nordstrom, "Learning Later, Living Greater" (2007)  discusses the Top Ten Benefits of Lifelong Learning, making the point that brains continue to grow and thrive as long as they are challenged and stimulated:  "One of the best methods for doing so is through lifelong learning".

Let us make sure that Lifelong Learning continues to thrive!
